The GBG Forschungs GmbH team

Our team consists of experts from different areas: In addition to physicians qualified in gynaecology and oncology, we have a team of experts from the areas of statistics, bioinformatics, biology, biochemistry, data management, IT, medicine, medical documentation, pharmacovigilance and administration. This ensures the high degree of specialisation of our research institute.

With the increasing number of study projects, our research institute has grown considerably: By now, more than 130 employees belong to our team, which is centrally located in Neu-Isenburg. Our colleagues also work from Berlin, Bochum, Bamberg, Hanover and Jena, among other places.  
In addition to participating in exciting research projects with an international scope, new work (remote) also enables us to create an attractive working environment.

GBG Forschungs GmbH is led by Prof. Dr. med. Sibylle Loibl. Sibylle Loibl is an internationally renowned scientist, Chief Executive Officer of GBG Forschungs GmbH and Chair of the GBG Study Group. She built up translational research and led numerous national and international research projects.

 

 

Prof. Dr. Loibl is author of more than 455 original and peer-reviewed articles and co-author of more than 500 scientific publications. She has also published numerous books and book chapters. She is an active member of many national and international organisations such as ASCO, ESMO, EORTC-TRAFO, ESGO, DKG.
Prof. Dr. Loibl is regularly involved in the organisation and implementation of numerous congresses and conferences, including the St. Gallen Breast Cancer Conference, the San Antonio Breast Cancer Congress, ASCO, ESMO and ESMO Breast Cancer Congress, as well as the German Cancer Congress and the Annual Congress of the German Society for Senology.

 

As a member of the AGO Commission Mamma, as a member of the Guidelines Commission for the development of the German S3 Breast Cancer Guidelines and as a member of the ESMO Guidelines Committee, she is involved in setting the German and European treatment recommendations for breast cancer.
